Join KERA and Daniel Tiger for Be My Neighbor Day!

Children and parents alike will learn the importance of community-focused kindness and sharing by taking part in a variety of service projects benefiting local nonprofits, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, CitySquare, and neighbors, North Texas Food Bank and Vogel Alcove.

Families will also be able to explore the village, watch some of your favorite Daniel Tiger episodes, meet new friends and take photos with Daniel and Katerina.

Donations such as jars of peanut butter, gloves for all ages, scarves, socks, and hats will be collected. All of the items collected at the Daniel Tiger Be My Neighbor Day event will be donated to families in need across North Texas.

During this Be My Neighbor Day, The Parlor will be open, a new permanent early childhood interactive play space located in the old Law Office on the Village's Main Street.

Inspired by Dallas Heritage Village’s smallest next door neighbors, the children from Vogel Alcove, this 924-square-foot space features a reading nook; a dramatic play area where children can dress up and interact in a faux parlor setting with a tea set and food; a manipulatives area with blocks, cars, animal figurines, and more; a weaving station; and a chalkboard across the back wall.

This venue is wheelchair accessible.
