Join the maker movement by creating robots, connecting circuitry, flying your own paper airplane, and even meeting local makers. Presented by Lockheed Martin.

-Bookworm Reading Time

-Experience robotics with the engineering girls from The Hockaday School.

-Join artists from Oil and Cotton to learn how to engineer the perfect paper airplane and make your own rocket necklace out of felt to take home.

-Sketch your favorite flying creature or add wings to a tiger, bear, or snake.

-Create a rocket out of straws and see how far it can soar.

-Design and build your own boat and test it in our kiddie pool to see how many pennies it can hold.

-Experience some of the cool activities featured in the TECH Truck, our maker movement mobile initiative.

-Test out one of these rolling robots and see if you can complete the maze on our specially built Sphero track.

-Use beads to create your initials in binary code and create a bracelet to take home.

-Create a musical instrument from simple household items.

-Explore a variety of robots for all ages while playing games, creating patterns, and learning to code.

-Practice coding with these electronic building blocks and see what you can create.

-Create a beautiful piece of art to take home by adding markers to an autonomous robot that scribbles.

-Turn everyday objects into a touchpad for a piano or drum set and create your own beat.

-Build a maze with obstacles using Keva planks and connectors.

Discover the fun of science together with your whole family on the second Saturday of each month. Try out real experiments, design and build new creations, and check out dynamic performances each month with guest scientists, educators and artists.
