Educational: Pi Day Math Festival Featuring walkSTEM

In partnership with talkSTEM, AT&T Performing Arts Center is hosting the second annual Pi Day Math Festival featuring walkSTEM ( Located at Sammons Park on the AT&T Performing Arts Center campus. 

The festival will showcase the many ways in which math impacts our world – in art, nature, science and more. Enjoy fun math-related activities from a variety of exhibitors.

Participating organizations include: Dallas Symphony, Dallas Arboretum, Dallas Zoo, Dallas Public Library, Dallas ISD STEM Environmental Education Center, Dallas County Community College District, MADI (Museum of Geometric and MADI Art), SMU, Bold Idea, and Texas Legends.

Also, Emporium Pies will help us celebrate Pi by serving complimentary samples of their delicious pie.

Open to families, teachers, and interested grown-ups. No unaccompanied minors permitted. The event is free, but registration is requested online.

The walkSTEM program is a guided math walk through the Dallas Arts District created in partnership with the National Museum of Mathematics in New York.

Dallas Arts District walkSTEM schedule:

-10:15 tour A (best for families with kids ages 11+)

-10:30 tour B (best for families with kids ages 6-10)

-11:15 tour D (all ages)

-11:30 tour C (all ages)

-12:15 tour A (best for families with kids ages 11+)

-12:30 tour D (all ages)

This venue is wheelchair accessible.
