Celebrate African-American history and culture in a variety of ways featuring exhibits, music and dance performances, lectures, photos, crafts and special activities in the children’s area.

This year the library partners with the Arlington Historical Society for archival images and special displays during the month of February.

2pm Forgotten Images of Arlington’s African-American Past. Presenting for the first time anywhere, a collection of newly digitized archival images from the Fielder House Museum that highlights contributions of African Americans to Arlington’s rich history.

3pm Tarrant County College SE Jazz Combo

3:30pm Cheri Colbert, City of Arlington Council Coordinator- Emcee

-Winners of the art and essay contest for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “Advancing the Dream Celebration 2017”

This venue is wheelchair accessible.

This event or venue can accommodate children with special needs.

The schedule features events with varying in noise and participation levels. Noise is welcomed in the children's area, which is separated from the rest of the library. Free-play toys are always available and can provide a break from scheduled events.
