This brand new youth musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school.

Completely disinterested in academic work, Dewey decides to create his own curriculum, turning his class into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band.

This stage musical featuring all the original songs from the movie plus 14 new songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber is a loving testimony to the transforming power of music. May the spirit of rock be with you.

Based on Paramount Movie by Mike White; book by Julian Fellowes; lyrics by Glenn Slater; new music by Andrew Lloyd Webber

Runs 2 hours. Recommend ages 10 and up.

Feb 17–Mar 5: Friday at 7:30pm; Saturday at 2 and 7:30pm; Sunday at 2pm.

Special performances: March 21–22 at UTA’s Texas Hall. Reservations can be made by calling the box office at 817/275-7661.
