This artistic Dallas mainstay features collections of African, contemporary and ancient art and much more. The museum also hosts classes and special events for children and families and temporary exhibits by world-famous artists. The monthly Late Nights at the Dallas Museum of Art are not to be missed, with storytimes, yoga classes, crafts and more.

This venue can accommodate children with special needs.

8/13/2016: Family Workshop – Winner's Circle
Explore artworks with connections to sports and then create art worthy of the Summer Olympics' winner's circle. For ages 6–12. Class size is limited. Adults do not need a ticket.

8/19/2016: Late Night at the DMA
Listen to a talk about the founding of the modern Olympic Games, dance to Latin music in the Atrium, watch a screening of the 2016 movie Race and enjoy more family-friendly activities at the museum.

9/7/2016 - 9/8/2016: Arturo's Art & Me – Crazy for Color
Explore colorful works of art in the collection, then take a spin on the color wheel in the Art Studio and create your own rainbow-worthy masterpiece. For ages 3–5. Space is limited.
