Inside the stunning metal-and-mirror outer shell of this glamorous museum, visitors will find post-World War II international and national art representing all forms of media.

The museum’s exhibits sometimes boast artwork suitable only for mature audiences—but that doesn’t mean the Modern isn’t a kid-friendly retreat. The museum’s education programs engage young learners with activities that introduce kids to the Modern’s collections.

Programs include Wonderful Wednesdays (every second Wednesday of the month) and Drawing from the Collection for Children (every first Sunday of the month).

Use 10 Pages, a free sketchbook for children are available at the information desk, to record your ideas and inspirations while lookin gat works of art in The Modern's galleries.



This venue can accommodate children with special needs.

Museum entrances are wheelchair accessible. All public areas, including galleries, auditorium, restrooms, elevators, education studio, Café Modern and the Modern Shop, are accessible to people who use mobility aids and wheelchairs.

The museum welcomes service animals and offers wheelchairs free-of-charge to visitors at coat check on a first-come, first-served basis. Assistive listening devices are available upon request for auditorium programs.
