Get back to basics at this collection of six historic homes, a one-room schoolhouse, chapel and general store located just south of McKinney’s downtown square. Here, families can acquaint themselves with what it was like to live in Collin County during the early 1900s.
The buildings, along with a blacksmith shop and smokehouse, all boast artifacts to help tune your imagination to a different era—one that was filled with hard work, farming and handmade valuables. The Village offers kids’ programming, like Living History Days, tours, special events and more. You won’t want to miss the Legends of McKinney Ghost Walk (for kids 10 and older) in October or the Holiday Tour of Homes in December.
This venue can accommodate children with special needs.
