This natural gem located in North Texas isn’t just for residents north of the Dallas County line. Within the 289-acre wildlife sanctuary, visitors can explore trails, sit in on educational programs, get your hands dirty with conservation projects. The exhibits indoors are stroller friendly; however, the park’s trails are only accessible to jogger strollers (they are not paved).
The Heard's new Pioneer Village features eight buildings in miniature scale that emulate structures that would have been typical in prairie settlements in the late 1800s. Explore these buildings including a miniature school house, grocery store and settler’s cabins.
