Lake Mineral Wells is located along Rock Creek, a large tributary of the Brazos River. This area was an early home to several Native American tribes (such as the Comanche), so when you’re at Lake Mineral Wells, you’re part of history. Lake activities include camping, swimming, fishing, boating, rock climbing, mountain biking, horseback riding and hiking. Don’t have your own boat? The park has a store where you can rent one. And the whole family will enjoy interpretive programs in the new Lone Star Amphitheater; programs include Cowboy History and Ranger Talks.
